Blue would help with some instant/sorcery recursion though (and of course draw). Grixis: I really like how ] and ] let you double up on spells, but I think I would miss white quite a bit. ] would be a fun alternative that fits the theme too. I think she is what I'm leaning toward, though I'd miss the lack of recursion in Mardu.
Mardu: ] for the pillowfort and card draw effects. It needs a wincon of some sort too of course. I think the deck would ideally have white for political cards (], ] etc.) and removal, red for targeted land destruction, and black for discard and removal. So I want to make a deck that will make whoever does this miserable and reward anyone that helps me (well, or at least anyone that leaves me alone). I'm on a fairly big losing streak from this (maybe 15 games). I have recently realized that my decks tend to affect the whole table, which has led to a meta where someone openly says they should all target me and I don't really have a great way to punish it.
